  • Hello good people – I am recuvering from eating dirt at 50 mph – I went bakini looking last Saturday (SPRING BREAK) and instead found myself crippling back to the house – I wasn’t going fast but evidently too fast for the curve I was in – 2 guys stopped really quick and got my bike off me and fixed it where I could limp home – Gosh longest 20 miles I have ever taken for sure – I jumped out of bed last night and trippped and caught myself on a chair – Great now I am hurting just as bad – Oh well gotta be tough to be so dumb —– On the job front - Cross your fingers for me – My resume is being handed to Halliburton tomorrow – Bubba knows a lady who is friends with the man doing the hiring – It is right down the way and everrybody there is into biking – I am ready to get out of plumbing anyway because of the building of homes is fixing to come to a screeching halt anyway – They have all types of positions and I am sure I can fit into one of them – The lady called and asked about myself and I told her I am always the early bird and don’t miss work if I love my job – I am open on the job because I can always learn if needed – So in the meantime I am still getting my plumbing liscense up to current date – And I am moving around trying to work the soreness out of this old body at the same time – Sure hope all enjoys their weekend and please cross those fingers – Last Friday bubba scheduled an SkipBo tournament at my stepdads – What a blast it was to play and chat with the familly – Funny how priceless a deck of SkipBo cards can be – I won 2 , Threej’s won 2, Beckylw won 1 and bubba won one – Funniest is Becky’s husband was all pumped up and was intending walking away the SkipBo king – He was skunked but really was a good looser – Well no telling how long him and Becky played when they got home for he could win though – So pull out your favorite card or board game and make some memories – Promise you won’t regret it none – HOLD THOSE HEADS HIGH AND GOD BLESS ALL – JOHN

N.M., OK, and who knows where else.  You know that little emblem on the front of the hood on an 03 Buick Park Avenue?   Well, I’m just following that little dude, wherever it takes me.  I’ve cleared all of April, but may not use all of that.   Timelltell.  Good to hear from you again.

  • Hiya John!!!! Was sooo HAPPY to hear from you. Been a LONG time. Ohh I am sooo glad your doing okay. Ouch u poor guy. You need to be more careful mister. Tisk Tisk hehe. Please take it easy okay. I like SkipBo, that is a fun game. Been awhile since I played it though. I wish u VERY good luck on the job. I do hope you get it. Your home for good right?
RYC: I am doing good, promise u I am not faking. I am glad that I finally got new braces & was able to get rid of my old ones. My feet feel a lot better in them & it’s more comfortable too. My old ones were hurting soo bad, My doc even gave me extra padding just in case. So all is good I promise. I am just Happy that I FINALLY got new braces. hehe =)
Yea 4-wheeling is a LOT of fun. Thanks for telling me about ur memory. Sounded like a lot of fun. I am sure they were very good times. Take care okay & I have my fingers crossed for ya to get that job…Hugs..Amanda

  • Glad you came by. Sorry to hear that you had a mishap on the bike, that’s a bummer. You were lucky it wasn’t any worse, asphalt rash can be really bad. The skip-bo tournament sounds like some we used to have when my girls were little and we all got together at the mother& father inlaw’s house for a family domino, canasta, skip-bo weekend. RYC: I’ve got the picture of the dress posted now, and yes I do have another project already in the works. Have to finish getting my peat pots planted so they will be ready for planting in about 6 weeks.

Have a blessed weekend & God keep you safe, healthy & happy. HUGS

  • Friday night used to be game night at our house.  Still get out the games when Nell comes home.  Bikes don’t like curves at high speed that possibly have to much sand or whatever to help you go for a skid and a fall.  Glad you are okay.  Sounds like you need to move the chair in your room though.  Ouch!  When the furniture leaps out and attacks you it is definitely time to minimize.  Luck with the job!

    Be at peace, dear.

  • Hey there!!! I think you’re updating more than I am! Thank you for the prayers for my family! I’m glad you’re okay, you gotta be more careful on the bike!!! I’ll be praying about your job situation *hug*

  • Hey Bro. Ya, I am keeping the cleaning business up to…Just gonna do the clean jobs (tee-hee) on Fridays. I am again glad your okay…I so know about dumping bikes. Have a beautiful scar on back of my leg from many moons ago….GOOD LUCK with new job. I know ya can do it…So, when ya coming to sunny Florida?   Sis said it was cool to see you back in xanga world….LOVE YA BRO…Kisses and hugs…Sis Pris

  • just thought i’d say hi.

  • good… glad ur ok lol

  • I’ll pray for you.

  • Hope your aches and pains clear up fast. You didn’t break anything did you? When Steve had a bike before we got married, he was rounding a curve and slid on leaves on the road. He and the bike weren’t hurt much.Just his pride!
He’s on the way home from NJ right now. Last night he was at a rest area sleeping when a truck sideswiped his tractor and left. Steve said it about knocked him out of the bed. Pulled off the bumper and twisted up the hood. Originally he was planning to be home next weekend not this one.
Hope your job application is accepted and you find something different than plumbing. Our son Bobby was a plumbers helper for two years but didn’t really want to get into plumbing. Can be dirty climbing around under houses. and the spiders! jw

  • hi there, stranger…..

    hope you’re well…..

  • RYC:  Thanks for the compliment.  Gosh, I’m blushing.  I have learned, through my faith travels, that everytime I involve my ego in something, things go wrong.  Hubris is a bad thing.  If I become boastful about something….tsk tsk.  For example, my nails, I have tried to grow them long for years.  Not excessive mind you, just nicely past the tips of my fingers.  Seems the minute I get proud of them and show someone how nice I think my nails are, they all break off.  Once I bragged about my faith formation classes and how good I was at it.  The next year I had children that refused to listen, that didn’t show up for class, that didn’t care.  It was a real struggle for me.  So I tell myself that ego is a bad thing and I try not to become prideful.  If my stories entertain you, then I’m happy.  I know there are better writers out there.  But I enjoy writing my stories for you all to enjoy.  It makes me happy.

I’m glad you have not suffered any ill effects from your fall.  Enjoy the beautiful weather.  Hope you hear on the job thing soon.

    Be at peace, dear.

  • RYC:  Ahhh, John…you are a darling!  *muah*

  • Don’t like to hear that you wrecked.  Motorcycles make me nervous.  FYI:  I am sending you and the girls a birthday  party invitation for Karli to David’s house.  It is gonna be on her actual b-day this year.  Sat., April 1.  I hope you can make it and bring the girls.  Love You Bunches.  Hope you get to feeling better soon!

  • I’ve gone to the site, and been in contact with Spazzmom.  Thanks for the referral, this comes at a perfect time, as I was just getting ready to ask you for a couple of contacts in Iraq to send stuff to!  I have a yahoo group called “supportfromhome” that has operated since the war began, and it’s time to raise it up a notch!  Thanks my friend!  HUGS!

  • OMG! I’m glad you are okay after that bike scare. The irony of you being in Iraq coming home safe only to have a bike scare at home! Hope you’re 100% okay.
