  • Hello USa – Goodness cookies and milk is really good especially when they are homemade – But has anyone actually asked Santa what he would like ? – Christmas – Yes tis the season to be jolly – Sad part of it is everybody starts feeling down – Don’t have a spouse or loved one to share the joy with – Don’t have the money to buy the kids all these new computer and electronic  toys that cost as much as a new car – Can’t afford to buy all your friends things you want to – You know what people – Thats why Thanksgiving is the Holliday right before Christmas – Just go back one month as you sit down to your tv dinner and remember all the things you have to be thankful for – Besides the birth and death of Jesus which makes us able to be alive – This time of yr spouses get into fights and divorces all get brought up – Come on – Enough with the pitty – Hug you neighbors dog if thats all that is around – It will do the dog and yourself all the good – Break out the cards and play something the familly enjoys – If your by yourself – Heck solitair isn’t so bad – Just remember Thanksgiving was first for a reason – And nobody can’t tell me they have nothing to be thankful for – So do me a great big favor and put on a happy face and spread all the joy you are able to – I am stuck in Iraq away from my daughters, familly, friends and future friends, but you know what – I am not going to get depressed because I have too many things to be thankful for – Yes I am single ,confused and don’t rightly give a darn right now – But I promise you I know what Christmas is about and this ole man is going to be smilling and enjoying my Christmas as I am working – –2 reds last night and copters everywhere – Man I am thankful for the sounds of copters that sing me right to la la land – Come on everybody – Lets rejoice and always HOLD THOSE HEADS HIGH AND GOD BLESS ALL

  • You tell them Amen to all of that. We all should remember what Christmas stands for. I know for as long as I am here on Gods green Earth I will know that he gave his son for us. I know that i am grateful that I am here able to see my children grow. And to spend time with them even if it is to just pop popcorn or just to sit with them atleast I was given that oppurtunity right. Well John have a great day

  • What a deliciously naughty Santa you have there.  Tsk tsk.  I’m thankful.  My babydoll will be home late Thursday until Jan 2nd spending the Holidays with me….and I have a JOB!  So Santa brought my presents early.

    Be at peace, John.

  • It’s good to hear someone encouraging like you. Now is your time. Later may be ours, when you need it. yrrem samtsirhc! jaywassailSC

  • Thanks for putting it back into perspective for us! You are so right! One thing I love about Christmas is getting to help those less fortunate then me. It really makes me remember how blessed I truly am! Be safe! oh, mamablueeyes is my mother in law’s site. I don’t know if I typed it correctly jut now, but she is one my subscription list & I just tagged her in my post today.

  • Those are some great encouraging words, thanks!!  I will definitely keep that in mind to be thankful and not get stressed out over Christmas.  Really been trying to keep the focus in the right place this year and remember it as a time of anticipation and hope that Christ brings.  Hang in there baby!

  • My babydoll is my daughter, Nell.  She finishes her finals on Thursday and then is driving to the cities with a friend.  We never stop missing our babies.  My Grandfather used to call me his babydoll…that’s where I get it.  Good job on the memory.  I use an Almond shampoo.  It smells delicious.  Even I like smelling my hair after a shower.  I’m so glad you had a good time with your girls.  I chuckled just imagining their excitement feeding the ducks.

    Ciao, mi amico!

  • Where did you get that picture of Mom sitting on my lap when I played Santa Clause? I thought I was the only one with that picture. She was a fox in her day.

  • Good Day Sir John!!!! You are absolutely correct and I think of you every time I sit down to write my post and I know you want to see happy thoughts. BTW… Chicken little. Of course hubby knows but that didn’t mean you couldn’t give me a memory. I understand you will be seeing us in April. I sure hope so. Stay safe and stay sane.  With great big hugs from KC, MO. • My daughter, nieces and nephews make Christmas lists.  I tell them to put on it only the things they really want, and not very expensive. They know we don’t have lots of money.  So they are usually very good about that. Then we pass the list out to the family.  Santa usually gets them one good present off the list.

I’m grateful the kids understand and MOST of the time don’t ask for more than we can give.  They are so considerate, it breaks my heart sometimes.  LOL

That picture you have up today reminds me of the picture I took with Santa Saturday.  Hahaha!  He was all for me sitting on his lap, but I chose to sit at his side.  LOL

  • Oh, yeah.  I also wasn’t dressed so comfortably.  Ho ho ho!
