Hello USA – Well I kinda cheated last night and had me a T-Bone steak – Now you all know we rough it here on the base so I had to settle for an 1-1/2 T-Bone- I would have prefured a Rib-Eye – But we have to learn to accept and appreciate all the little things in life now and again -hehe – Yes that is a near beer also – Boy did we have an enjoyable evening – No mosquito’s and the temps in the low 70′s – Perfect for a get together – A truck driver brought the meat down from Camp Victory in Baghdad – Boy they were cooked and flavored to perfection also -We had ribs also but I grabbed a perfect T-Bone that was just a littl pink on the inside – Mom use to cook them in the broiler and she had it down to perfection also – 8 minutes on one side and 7 on the other – I will never forget those times because they are the combination to a perfect steak - - We were hit 3 times yesterday and once was during our cook out – Hey ain’t nothing like a little fireworks to set off a beautiful evening -Nobody was injured during the 3 – But one was pretty close to my office and shook my chair a little – Or maybey it was my heart that shook it one- We have alot of service men and women on the base right now and it is pretty comforting to know – As I gave it up and was in bed 2 helicopters flew over my hooch so low that my whole hooch shook me right to sleep – So all is good on this side of the world – How about in the good ole US of A? – Please remember and let me know your tree is posted because I really miss the decorations and such – There is a little around base but nothing like in the states – Don’t fret over me – Heck I have no complaints other than my belly is still stuffed from that perfect T-Bone – Hope all has a wonderful day and never forget to HOLD THOSE HEADS HIGH AND GOD BLESS ALL

You sure are right about moms steaks!! No matter how hard I try, I can not do it the way she did. Mine is usually too pink or too done. And never are they seasoned like she did. I am soo excited, I posted my tree. Hopefully I can go get the girls and get some good pics. No promises, you know my schedule! But, I would really like to do that.

I haven’t got my tree up yet, but as soon as I do I will take some pics for you. We might get it tomorrow, the weather is sopposed to turn bad and we are sopposed to get snow so I would like it up before that hits. We have been getting a real one for quite a few years now, so we wait a little longer about putting it up, don’t want to burn the house down….lol I want to get this out of the way with Cyndel, can’t really think alot about Christmas with worrying about her. I hope we find out something tomorrow. This waiting is starting to get to me. You take care and please be safe. Sleep well dear friend.

Steak? You’re eating WAY better than me. Actually, a nice pot of stew sounds great to me right now. It’s pretty cold out there… in the 20′s… and ice and snow blowing all around. I think some marshmallow-covered hot chocolate, and some steaming beef stew with lots of veggies, and some cheesy cornbread sounds about perfect right now.
No Christmas tree up for me yet. I never get into the Spirit this far out from Christmas. Get me about two weeks away from Christmas and I get all revved up. Maybe this weekend I’ll break out the decorations!
I hope you had some toothpicks after all that MEAT! Enjoy!
