Hello USA – Yet another beautiful day in the sand – Well the time is slipping up surelly but slowly – Not for my R$R (12 days and a wake up) but for Thanksgiving – My goodness deciding where you are going to have it is alot of familly’s problems – Me – Tottally confused - Mom and Elbie would go to Louisianna to Elbie’s parents , Becky would be with her husbands familly , David and Cyndie would go to Cyndies parents house and my Dad would have it at his house – Man where to go? – This yr I will be honored to accept the invitation from Becky – One yr and I guess I will be in trouble but I had all these different invitations that I honestly volunteered to be on call and used that for an escape goat – All crap aside the Golden Corral is where I ended up going – Goodness what a spread – They had turkey smothered in a white gravy that would make your tongue slap a hole in your mouth trying to get another bite – I am sure bubba will go see Cyndies folks and that is fine – I wonder if the pilgrims had these problems ? One of my fondest memories of Thanksgiving was at Becky’s grandmother in laws – I mean to tell you we had everything you could emagine – Plus a room full of love – We had our prayer and sat down to eat and everybody had their plates all full etc. – I asked where are the deviled eggs? Man my sister and the other ladies all at once said oh my gosh all the other cold food was still in the ice box – We had so much already on the table everybody forgot about the cold stuff- Its hard on kids that have been going or gone through divorces and believe me I know – So if they decide to have it somewhere else just be thankful they are smart enough to choose and save the left overs – Myself simply can’t wait for a big ole plate of stuffing – Yes its my favorite and will probably make 2 Thanksgiving dinners to taste the different stuffings – I know I will be invited to my x’s because her mom is really changing and I kinda like her now – No spark with the x – But man her mom can cook – I will need to see my daughters also – So I will spend Lunch with Becky then make dinner with my girls – Yes there is alot to be thankful for and its hard to spend it with all your loved ones so remember they are really something to be thankful for – Myself am thankful for alot and a big thanks to all my links in my chain of xanga familly – Good luck and I know I started some brains a thinking – But always HOLD THOSE HEADS HIGH AND GOD BLESS ALL

That was a close one for me, every year for the past 5 years was we would go to his moms and then go to my moms or vice virsa. But this year I am saving alot of running around and I dont have to eat so muchlol. Well take care my friend you have a bless Thursday and I will talk with you tomorrow

Morning John, by the time Thanksgiving Day is over looks like you might have two major meals under your belt and have to move it two holes….I like making the Thanksgiving spread and probably have made it for most of the past 30 yrs since we don’t live close to relatives. With 6 kids we had a full table anyway. I enjoy feasting with friends from church or anyone else who doesn’t have a place to go. Take care, plumber John…jaywalSC
sorry to get your age wrong… oops
Just wanted to pop in again and say Hi! I’ll update on Sunday for you!
Morning sunshine….or evening in this case.lol So in less than 2 weeks you’l be on home turf huh. WAY COOL! Bet them girls can’t wait to see daddy! Not sure who will be at our Thanksgiving yet. Haven’t really thought or talked about it yet. Hmm. Guess I best get to deciding huh? Have a great day. Love and bear hugs…Teri and the kids!
Sounds like you have Thanksgiving all figured out. We run into the same problems around our house. My mom usually dinner on a different day and that really helps. We have dinner for days!
Looking forward to it!! Love!
I love it when I read happy things…..My dads birthday was around turkey day every year. Savannahs birthday is the 23 of November. My family are directly decended from the original ALDENS. My whole house is full of history. My maiden name was Alden so you can well imagine how PROUD papa was. Next to Christmas this was HIS favorite holiday. I treasure those moments in my heart now with both mama and daddy gone. Have no clue what we will be doing this year…TIME will tell. GOOD news is you will be with your babies. I so wish I had learned how to make my mamas dressing….I miss that every turkey day that passes…God bless you Bro…Sis Pris
just stay put in one place & let everyone come to you……that way you wouldn’t have to spend so much time traveling……..just a thought though.

Ah…family get togethers….always somebody with hurt feelings…It’s nice to have so many friends & family, but sometimes it can also get exhausting! lol… I miss not having a big family at times, but then at other times, I am very content with my small family!

I can’t wait for the turkey and the homemade dressing. And of course the pumpkin pie. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
RYC: I actually had one woman sing her message back to me. It was hilarious!
Turkey day…not a lot of good current memories. Have spent it alone for nine of the last ten years because it’s David’s holiday with Nell. Last year I was invited to two places, so the first time in a long time I enjoyed the day. I’ll make turkey with all the trimmings any day of the year. My grandmother taught me how to make stuffing. Love the smell of it sauteing in the morning. She also taught me how to make melt in your mouth pie crust. When I took foods class in high school my teacher was so impressed that I could tell my classmates what was wrong with their crust and fix it that she lined up a job for me baking pies. Dad went through the roof. Pity. I would have enjoyed it.
Be at peace, dear.
