Hello USA – I have been feeling not so like John lately – Its hard to explain other than I have been feeling like a black sheep
and lost – But I went home and talked to our Father the Shephard – He doesn’t care what color we are or whether or not we are making fine wool or coarse wool – Thats amazing knowing he knows each and every one of his sheep – Thanks Robin – Yes I read – Safe in the Shephards Arms by Max Lucado twice yesterday and probably will read it again – I know my Father has plans to clear my path for I don’t stumble on rocks or get thorns on me – I know he will clear rocks and till the soil to give me good green grazing pastures
- I know you give color to your sheep because we are all one of a kind – It is so soothing to know you hear all our troubles no matter how small they may be – Please help me to get past the boulders that lie in my path of confusement – I know you already have your plans for me and put obsticles in the way that you know I can defeat on my own – Believe me Father I am trying so much to jump the obtacles you know I can -Thanks Father for all the other sheep you have put in my life and will always watch over them also – —- Thanks to all my familly and friends – Its just tough being over here and missing my little lambs -The cayotees have been swarming and I need them to get out of my life – I know I guess I should run with all my responsibilities knowing Father will not overburden me – - Its getting spookier ever day handling the death and obsticles around this place – A friend just came through Baghdad’s Airport and now they have opened it up to the Iraqi’s – Their flights have been cancelled for 4 days and started a riot cursing the Americans that fly everyday – They were put in a room like sardines being garded by the Iraqi soldiers – There were trash cans set on fire and a heck of a lot of mad Iraqi’s (200)- This is yet another obsticle I am fixing to have to endure – I will be job searching to get out of this messed up situation – If my Shepherd wants me out he will provide the necessary pastures for me to graze in – Thanks to everybody for responding and caring – My song is gone but my heart is always open – I will not be serfing and responding today because honestly my computer is soaked with tears now – I need time but I have found the right path and that is behind our Father the Shepherd who will clear the path and lead us to greener pastures -

Keep your head up. Its not easy being the big Red over here. I’m here for the same reasons as you and working for the same people. Caught your site, by accident. 17 months huh? I’ve been here for 14 months, but if you add the time for the PX in 2003, I’ve been in country for 22 months. Take care. Just another dirty day in ‘ol Iraq. chick
Isaiah 40:
11 He tends his flock like a shepherd:
He gathers the lambs in his arms
and carries them close to his heart;
he gently leads those that have young…
29 He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
Take care friend.

There’s a song I’ve heard several times on the radio that speaks to this situation. Maybe it will be helpful to see the lyrics… The chorus goes:
If not for the storms
I couldn’t say that You’re my shelter
If not for the storms
I would have never known Your strength
I found You so faithful
Through all that You allowed
If not for the storms
There’s no way I’d know You
As I know You now
And the last part says:
Sometimes it’s hard to see the reasons for the trial I’m in
Looking from this earthly point of view
But You have surely proven to me time and time again
I can depend on You
To bring me through
It makes me so sad when my Christian brothers and sisters find themselves in the valleys of their lives, but God uses us and grows us more in the valleys than when we’re on the mountaintops. Don’t lose faith or hope. You are not alone.

Rest assured that if the situation at the Bagdad airport continues that KBR will not send anyone through there ever again. Being the positive strong willed person that you are, can you imagine how all of the other employees feel about going through that airport? I am glad you remembered where to go for comfort when you are down. He will not forsake you. BTW, Grandmother’s house was my favorite place on the earth as well. She walked with God while on the earth and it shined through in the life she led. The same thing is happening with you as you walk with him in Iraq.
I can’t believe they had a riot down there… but not surprised. I’m about 35min. northeast of you. Small, small camp. What I can’t stand when I go there is that the natives, grab your gear, and try to pull it, and its fine when it weighs a lot, but they don’t seem to understand the word NO unless you yell at them. I am in the business of rooms, keys, linen if you know what I mean. chick
Oops, I’m a single mom with a 8 year old son. Working on getting our house.
I love you and am praying for you… what you are going through is normal, we all go through it. You are smart and knew where to turn. I am praying for you, I hate to see you down. Oh and when you said “Be careful” what are you saying that in reference to? Me going to Gainesville in a couple of weeks? If that is what you’re meaning it towards, don’t worry, that is one of the safest places I can go
I must go and get ready to start my day, but I will leave you with a *hug*
: ) Not quite…. I belong to the C’s. me
I’m hoping all gets better for you and you can make the trip. I hope things settle down as well. Loved reading the list.
Hey hon, I’m sure that what you’re feeling is normal for someone so far from home. I can’t even imagine my having enough strength to endure over there as long as you have.
I’m praying for your strength and resolve, that you will have a safe trip home, and that you can find a way to find it in you to complete what you have set out to do.
All plans are open to change. Remember that.
Thanks for encouragement! It’s teh perfect start to my day!
I’m praying that God our Father will comfort you and guide you through your next phase of life….only a few more days and you’ll see your darling girls!!! God bless you and I’m praying!(HUGS)

He Makes Me to Lie Down
By Dr. Robert Schuller<!–
[The Psalmist] openly admits that sometimes the shepherd forcibly takes the sheep from their field of play and food…
–>
[The Psalmist] openly admits that sometimes the shepherd forcibly takes the sheep from their field of play and food, and makes them lie down-”He makes me to lie down in green pastures.” Which is his way of saying that trouble is not always trouble!
And what is trouble, you ask? You could get a variety of answers to that question. . . . Trouble is final exams when you haven’t finished the textbook; or remembering today an important appointment you forgot yesterday; or finding yourself without a comb, hair disheveled, and important people waiting to see you; or trouble is running out of gas on a long lonely road at night in strange mountains. And trouble is many things far worse than any of these! Of course, there is such a thing as trouble!
But it is obvious that in our pitiful judgments we often label as troubles what in time and truth are really blessings in disguise. Mysteries of Providence we should call them.
I am indebted to a wonderful old Christian who was past ninety when confined to a bed. “I see you are having a little trouble,” I sympathized. The smile wrinkles in her face cracked and she chided me, “Oh, no, I’m not having trouble. I just didn’t know when to quit and the good Lord made me lie down. But I have been having a wonderful time reading His Word, and talking with Him at night when I couldn’t sleep, and He turns this bed into a green pasture. ‘He makes me to lie down in green pastures.’”

No new pictures today but I did find an old letter from one of my great uncles to my grandpa-telling him they finally got some electricty put in there house !! Im sure that was a big day for them. Funny-things like that we take for granted huh/–Hope this was a better day for you.
I don’t know you, but I’m sorry you’re having a tough time right now. I’m sure things will get better soon. Be safe over there and take care!!
Yes, GOD has helped me through all of my hardships. Even to the point of taking my pain away when a loved one has gone home to HIM. Some people don’t believe in miracles… I say they are all around us. Keep a straight head when you travel through that airport, ya hear.
Interesting questions, I want to answer them on my site. Bless you, Pershz.
ps. Are you on now, at this moment? Do you have aol message?
I’ve been in your shoes many times. In fact, i’ve been there so many times i’ve been deecnossed with depression! I hope u feel better!
